Reversed Psychology

Holding the spiral bottle in my hand, I longed for the water within.
But, when I finish the water within, how would I feel in the end?
Because with each sweet drop that I drink, I fear that in the end,
I would only leave the bottle feeling empty and bitter.

We came out to talk and discuss about work. We had dinner first, because if our stomachs are not full, how would we be able to think and work soundly? I played a prank on him, and surprisingly, I got surprised instead. For the hot molten solid of flame was consumed within dinner time, and he had a stomach ache. Until now, no one, not even me, was able to even consume the red devil. And he did it. Just like that.

When we discussed work, everything went smoothly. I got surprised once again, when I met old friends of mine. I remembered the good old days, where we would used to hang out with each other. But, that was before. Now, we are travelling on two separate ways which would occasionally meet once in a while. I feel surprised, that I am okay like this, ever since that time when my friend and I left each other behind.

After that, we went on a spontaneous trip to a cooling and haunting place, which is Genting Highlands. It was so spontaneous, that we needed a GPS to guide us there. For the first time, I sat in a car which he drove. It was rocky at first, but I guessed he was in the phase of getting used to the car. On top, the cold mountain wind greeted us in the face as our shivering bodies went for cover in the mountain hotel. Passing game arcades, the infamous casino and many restaurants, we finally found the shop we were looking for: Starbucks. And with this, we achieved our accomplishment where we would come up here for Starbucks and then go back.

After long hours of games and restless sleep, we went on our way. Little did I know, that our adventure had just started to begin.

Cold wind surrounded us as we walked in search of a toilet. No matter how fast or slow we walked, we shivered from one end to another end. It is not a surprise, as our spontaneous trip lead us to the after effects of unsuitable clothing. I remembered how he was so kind in the past, and I offered a hug and warmth, which failed since my body is incapable of storing heat. And then, he suggested holding hands for warmth, which I comply since I felt a bit guilty for making him suffer this trip.

His hands were huge, and they gripped mine firmly. And for once, I stopped questioning my decisions and go along with the flow.We got lost, but we eventually find our way out again. When wind soared through our hair and graced past our clothes, he pulled me closer so that our body warmth would not evaporate so quickly. Sometimes, it works. Sometimes, it does not.

With the increased intensity of body contact, I felt my heart beating quite irregularly. But, it might have been my mistake. When we reached the car and he asked for another hug, I gave him one once more which lasted a bit longer since he seem to be suffering from the brittle, harsh cold of the morning dawn.We then went downhill, and stopped at a temple. The temple pagoda was 9 levels in total, with winds coursing through each level with increased intensity as the level gets higher.

We panted at the top, but the view was magnificently beautiful. As I lean against the wall next to him, he suggested a selfie which turned out quite horribly since the wind smacked our hair everywhere. Then, he put his arm on my waist as he guided me down as I have acrophobia. Back in the car, he held my hand to keep us warm and with that, silence overtook us as he drove us down the mountain as I look out the window.

He even suggested we go for breakfast before I dropped him back.

And then, he did something unusual by saying,
"See you next time.
Don't miss me so much ya."
